Berry season is here! Low sugar jams, jellies, and pie fillings couldn't be easier! Ultra Sperse has got to be one of the best kept secrets out there for the home canner. This class will cover making instant freezer jam as well as tips for using Ultra Sperse in other canned or frozen items such as sweet and sour sauce, orange chicken glaze, salsa, fruit syrups, etc.

Ultra Sperse can be used with whatever sweetener you prefer or you can choose no sweetener at all. It is a gluten free product so is helpful for anyone on a special diet. Come on out and learn about this amazing product that will make dinner prep so much easier!

Each participant will leave with a personal meal plan filled out and a shopping/inventory list started to make it easy to keep your resolution this year! Hands-on Bread Making Tips and Techniques

Nothing says "home" more than the smell of fresh baked bread! Join us to learn tips on making better yeast breads using your freshly ground wheat flour. Come ready to get your hands in the dough to feel what a great yeast dough should feel like. We will cover making bread using a mixer such as a Bosch or Kitchen Aid and also making it the "old-fashioned" way - by hand. This is a great class to bring older children to so if you are homeschooling, bring them along. Space is limited so call or email Food 2 Store to reserve your place.

Cost $1.00 per family
Dehydrating fruit is a simple way to preserve food for later use. We will cover the basics of making your own healthy fruit rolls/snacks for your family and what to look for when purchasing a dehydrator. There will be tasting samples.

All classes will be taught by Tammy Price in her home. Children are always welcome to come and play while you learn. Your older children are welcome to come learn with us. Space is limited to the first 12-15 people so send me a quick email at tamaraprice@lightningcreekpress.com and I will save you a spot.

Cost $2.00 per family
Bring a loaf pan or a baking sheet. Everyone will leave with a loaf of bread to bake for dinner.

This is a great opportunity to review the steps if it's been awhile since you made bread. If you are new to bread making, you'll walk away thinking it is easy and wonder why you waited so long to give it a try. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon. You'll be taking your loaf home to bake it so your whole house will smell like fresh baked bread - yea!

Summer Food Storage Classes

To help all of us in the Boise area better motivate each other, I am offering a few classes this summer at my home -  
Tuesday, June 28th 1:00 pm Making Yogurt with Powdered Milk
Cost $1.00 per family
Making yogurt is one of the tastiest ways to rotate your powdered milk and it really expands the meals you can add to your food storage meal plan. Come learn how easy it really is. There will be tasting samples.
Monday, July 11th 1:00 pm Bread Making  Basics
