We just picked all of these today. It's our first big picking. "What shall we do with all of these?" the children ask.
"I have plans," I asure them.
We will be chopping most of them up in the food processor and freezing for later. They will turn into

spaghetti sauce

sloppy joe sauce
.jpg)
vegetable soup

and salsa.
Then we will tuck the bottles away and use them throughout the year. I love it when the garden starts producing! There is a certain satisfaction that comes from eating things you've grown yourself. They always seem to taste better than anything you can purchase at the store or farmer's market.
